-Voters often feel “fooled” in love and are not capable of loving, according to the results of a recent poll.

To whom do you give your heart and to whom do you give your voting vote? That question is the psychologist Dr. Guido F. Gebauer followed up. For a survey for the dating platform www.Gleichklang.de, 700 male and female members between the ages of 20 and 78 were asked which party they would vote for in the federal election in Germany. In addition, the members were asked about their attitudes towards love.

The result: AfD voters often feel “ripped off” in love and are not very capable of loving. AfD voters were also significantly more likely to affirm a number of other negative statements about love. More often than not, they agreed with the statements that all the talk about love is mostly a lie and that real love doesn’t even exist. AfD voters were significantly less likely to agree to the statement that they wanted a world of solidarity in which people treat each other lovingly.

Comparison: Greens, Left Party and AfD

A particularly strong contrast was shown in the survey between AfD voters and voters from Bündnis90 / Die Grünen and the Left Party. One out of 18 people was bitter about their own love life among the voters of the Greens, one out of eight with the Left Party, but one out of four with the AfD. One in five AfD voters felt “ripped off” in love, one in 12 with the Left Party and only one in 25 with the Greens. That the whole talk of love is a lie said one of 6 people among AfD voters, one in 14 people in the Left Party and 20 people in the Greens.

74% of the voters of the Left Party and 72% of the voters of the Greens reacted strongly to the statement that they wanted a world of solidarity in which people treat each other lovingly. Among AfD voters, the corresponding approval rate was only 40%.

By the way, voters from the SPD, CDU / CSU and FDP were in their attitudes towards love between the voters of the AfD and the voters of the Greens and Left Party. The voters of the FDP were closest to the AfD.

“Anyone who has relationship deficits is easier to reach for xenophobic propaganda”

Psychologist Gebauer considers the results plausible and psychologically easy to understand.paper 123 Those with relationship deficits are easier to reach for xenophobic propaganda. Such people enjoyed themselves in a victim role and made other cultures and refugees scapegoats for their own dissatisfaction.

AfD voters are apparently actually angry citizens, it says in the press release. Their anger does not come from the fact that representatives of other cultures or refugees have done them injustice, but from their own relationship deficits.

So it is not surprising that it is supporters of the AfD who are particularly noticeable in online dating through cynical attitudes, nagging and failure.
